I have a broken modem and need a user.ini backup of the modems settings to get the device connecting again. Telecom are impertinent at supporting there hardware if your no longer a Telecom customer.

Can anyone help?

The modem isn't connecting to the DSL service, it says DSL Type: UnKnown
instead of saying showtime.

Nope, I'm on the LLU

I'm sure it's a config setting that is out the modem settings where adjusted via Telnet when it stopped working.

Do a hard reset and get it back to factory. What did you adjust that you would think upset it.

Tried the hardreset and it didn't fix the modem.

I was trying to get g992.5_annex_m to work as the modem was only connecting with g992.5_annex_a

i did a xdsl command but selecting annex_a again doesn't fix it.

I'm just hoping that a backup of a user.ini can fix it and that someone would be willing to share it with me.

I got a 2nd modem from trademe today and it's got the same connection issue as my original one.

Called telecom as they are the support agents for this hardware and they refused any help, saying that it would be remote help anyway, which wouldn't work as the modem can connect to dsl for to access the remote help.

They only support existing customers of this hardware and not the hardware.

Turns out that my DSL line has died at the exchange, so I guess the hardreset will work, once Chorus and CallPlus get organised enough to fix my connection. CallPlus don't let Chorus access CallPlus hardware and CallPlus don't have tech support working on the weekend.
