nathan:
they're not bringing multiple versions which adds complexity
white ss
white ds
black ss
black ds
etc
if you want DS they are available, but you'll need to parallel import.

I think @timbonz comments were more like there's no complexity in two options per colour.
nathan: more SKUs is more complexity, more inventory, more blah blah and that's why DS is not available in the NZ store.

Ok, so this is different from your previous quote of "The NZ Store has SS, as that is what the carriers in the region who are launching them want" seeing the inventory is not managed by operators, but Microsoft.
I am not interested in DS for that matter, but interested to understand the stories companies create.

You only need 1 SKU - DS Black (The Henry Ford any colour you want so long as it's black) and if you only have 1 sim you don't need to use the other slot and can pretend you have the SS model.
freitasm: So it's not about the operators, but Microsoft. I think there was a bit of blame-shift in the first declaration, that's all.
Microsoft can also do some unwelcome decisions, and that's cool. Just need to own up.
nathan: right, which is not what the customer (telco) wants, so hence the complexity I mentioned

Remember when I was a MVP Mobile devices and I said "Microsoft's customers are the telcos, not the consumers?"
Still true.
