The NZ Store has SS, as that is what the carriers in the region who are launching them want
freitasm: Holy... That's an expensive phone for a company trying to get over 1.8% market share.

Hmmm I don't understand MSFT's strategy at all, I wonder if they even have one.
It doesn't seem like it. These phones should have been released a year ago as well. They're really not impressive versus what other manufacturers make.

I bet the partly eaten fruit product wouldn't kowtow to the local carriers.
With the support (lack there of) I've seen local carriers have given to some of the Nokia/Lumia products I don't know why MS are buckling to their pressure. Even though the Telco is providing the Nokia/Lumia phone on contract I've seen sales people steer potential purchasers to other products.
Seems to me there is a market for dual sim. Those that want it will parallel import or buy another brand, those that don't care will buy locally or may still import depending on price.
The local Telco's won't stop customers from sim hopping. If they provide good service they'll keep their customers. Holding customers to "ransom" by stopping sales of dual sim is very short sighted.
MS would be better off selling the DS version in my opinion and to hell with Telco support.

its slightly more complicated than you make out :)

freitasm:I agree. I suspect the carriers have stipulated if you sell dual sim we won't sell it. Carriers have too much say IMHO.nzrocketman:nathan: The US Store has DS, and it was always going to be DS

If the phones are available from the Microsoft Store then why say "it's what the carriers in the region..." - it's Microsoft selling those so carriers shouldn't be a factor (only on the models they sell through their own stores).

ghce: I am guessing that all the lumia 950's may well be dual sim. What is truly amazing is the lack of clarity from Microsoft regarding some of the basic specs of these phones dual sim being a good example of their apparent disinterest in their own product.
