I find it facinating that you can read reviews of phones and get a good impression, but when you end up being able to use the phone yourself, you find that it's a completely different experience. I suppose it's very hard in a short space of time to accurately examine and report on every aspect of a trial phone, but hey, don't you think people would mention things such as the HTC Snap's (Windows Mobile no doubt) inability to copy and paste in every (some yes, but never the ones you want) text field?
One example of many - WIFI:
Why do M$ not allow you to paste a security key into the WPA Key field???
It gets even worse. I can't even COPY the password from a basic .txt file, for heavens sake, to even consider trying a PASTE.
So now I have to either type in a 64 key password (which, no doubt, if I do this, I'll probably be told that I can only enter a maximum of 63 characters) or find a programme that allows me to do something so inate and basis, and what should be standard, as a copy and PASTE.
Where's the Ctrl key on this device??? Surely I should be able to select some text using the Shift key and the Scroll wheel, do a Ctrl-C or Ctrl-X and then just go to any field and Paste, either using Ctrl-V. Is that too much to ask from a Smartphone?
What about Word Mobile? I can select text, but where's the Copy option? Paste? Say what??
Or has my rant been overkill and I'm just missing some really simple trick somewhere?
Please advise. I fear I've been sold a dog of a phone.
