Logitech G7 Laser cordless mouse- info on it below

*2000 dpi laser engine
An ultra-high resolution engine churns images at an astounding 6.4 megapixels per second. A massive (30-pixel by 30-pixel) sensor array and precision laser technology allow the G7 to deliver best-in-class performance and tracking.

*Full-speed USB + 2.4 GHz cordless
4X faster than conventional mice, USB delivers blazing speed and instant acceleration. With a 5X** stronger connection, 2.4 GHz wireless "bulletproofs" the G7 against lags and interference dropouts.

*Two fast-swap ultra-light Li-ion packs
Recharging doesn't have to mean pausing the action. . In the default gaming power mode, the battery life will last up to two and a half days for average game play.***

*Battery-level indicator
The five-level gauge tells you exactly how much game time remains.

*Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) gaming feet
Forget sticky workarounds - the G7's durable polytetrafluoroethylene feet give the ultra-smooth glide you want in a gaming mouse.

*In-game sensitivity switching
The G7 provides instant access to three sensitivity levels - 400 dpi, 800 dpi, and 2000 dpi - before driver installation. Shift from pixel-precise targeting to fast-twitch maneuvers, without pausing the action.

I have no idea what keyboard to get...... any suggestions?

The Logitech G15 is the gaming keyboard. You can get that for $150 or less. I would pick the G5 over the G7, wired mice tend to be better for gaming, faster response times etc.

The MS Habu is a good mouse too, should cost you around $100.

You could also look at the Razer range of products. (They were the brains behind the MS Habu).

Definitely the G15 keyboard, lots of fun to be had with the LCD display. Some cool apps available for it, and some games support it too. My favourite is the one for BF2, lets you track all sorts of info while you play without flicking back to console or stats page onscreen.

Oh, also the backlit keys are a must for late-night gaming! I couldn't live without that feature now.

After a Logitech MX518 I bought a Razer Copperhead.
The Logitech was very good, meanwhile the Razer is excellent.

They have a pretty nice keyboard too I believe.

And dont worry, you will feel no difference whether you choose Logitech or Razer or MS Habu....

And if you a hardcore gamer, dont forget that the surface is important under your mouse too, so buy a good gamer mouse pad.

I is a kollege stoodent. Bee nice.

I've got the G5 and I have to say that I like the weight pack in it.  Some reviews pooh-pooh it but I've got it set to just the right weight for me and I feel the difference.

I'm currently using a MX518, very nice control, I mostly MMO so don't really need the accuracy of a FPS, I've tryed the RAZER copperhead and just found it didn't suit my hand for long sessions, but definitly a good mouse for a quick FPS session.

So if possible give what ever you decide on a go before buying.

As to keyboards can't really help there sorry.
