We have just had a new Parmco slim dishwasher installed by a plumber.

It ran fine when the plumber tested it, then when first used, we struck a problem. Seemed to be starting its process fine, but before the first rinse cycle it would stop and beep thirty times, drain, and nothing. We tried everything we could think of, and same result.

Then next day it worked fine, and worked fine for maybe 5 days. Now we get the same stop, drain and beep.

Does anyone have any suggestions we could try before Parmco reopen on Tuesday for me to ring them?

I thought it could possibly be to do with either water pressure, or the powder lid not opening. Could these cause problems?

Cheers guys

You wouldn't f'ing believe it.

I think I have found the problem.  Turned off the water and got the same error message.  Disconnected the water inlet, and see this:

There was a wad of plastic balled up at the end of the new tap the plumber installed.  Removed it, reconnected, turned it on, and could audibly hear the water going into the dishwasher in a way I never had before.  What a bugger of a thing for a plumber to miss!

Glad it was such an easy fix and a little annoyed I waited a week of dishwasher working/not working/working again before looking into it myself...

Fingers crossed we didn't damage it trying to make it run without water
