I'm looking for a new team member to join our modest organisation based in west Auckland.
We support the general computing requirements of mostly Auckland-based businesses in the 3-50 computer range, with over 50% of the support being done via remote control or on the phone. Anything from 'my computer won't power on' to 'I need email on my iPhone' to 'we need a dedicated server for a new application' to 'we are opening a new office and need you to set up the IT systems'.
You might have just finished some IT training and be looking to start your career, or have been fixing your relatives or neighbours computers and want to make a career out of IT, or you might be in an existing IT Support position and looking for a change. Attitude is more important than skill level, but all skills you bring would be valued.
Ideally you will have a clean drivers license and be able to do on-site support as required, but this is not essential if you don't mind being office-bound. A slight hours adjustment (start/finish early or late) is negotiable over time. From Week 1 you will be expected to meet performance targets that will start modestly and increase over time. You must be able to work unsupervised through a list of tasks (of course asking for help/tips where something is beyond your experience).
Given that this is a customer-facing role, you will need strong and confident verbal and email communication skills in English, and you must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
Interested? Email apply@dynamicit.co.nz with a 1-3 minute audio recording of you giving a brief history of your education and employment, what interests you about IT, and where you would like to go with your IT Career (any goals, technologies you would like to work with, etc), and anything else you like to include. As long as your voice is clear, the quality of the audio recording will not be a deciding factor in shortlisting candidates. Applicants will hear back from us within 1 week. Mentioning you saw this on GZ will slightly increase your chance of being shortlisted.
Thanks for your consideration.
Mike
