Not sure how long this has been around for but when you fire up the iTunes NZ store and scroll down the main page a bit there is an icon you can click on to "Pre-order iPad", except it opens a page on Apple NZ's site with the message "The page you're looking for can't be found".

That's funny.

iTunes is basically run out of Oz for this region and they have pre-ordering now....so they probably put that link in and aren't overly concerned it brings up an error for kiwis....which is poor.

iBooks too. Whole App Store has been redesigned so you can choose between displaying iPhone apps or iPad apps.

Obvously Australia are getting it on Friday and their store has been done as well, but wonder why we've had it done as well.

See my last post for that one. Probably easier for them not to phaff about with restricting it to Oz only, and you'd only be buying it for an iPad...which should be with us soonish.

I can also confirm that the AppStore app on the iPad can now be used in NZ to update apps, which you could not do 3 days go as it came up "iPad app store not supported in your country"

Don't ask for a lighter load, rather a stronger back.

Really? That's been working for me since the end of last week. Was a huge relief not to have to sync each time :)

In-app purchasing started working at the same time on those apps where it hadn't been. Very, very happy not to have to wait till July for all that to be working.

Easy peasy really. I'm usually the 1st to admit defeat in such things. Tip- cut it a bit ling & use the sandpaper to it's right size. Took me 20 at most yesterday. Popped it in & it works a treat.

It's pretty easy as long as you keep an eye on what you're doing. I found that a nail file worked really well to get the sim to fit snugly into the carrier.

I thought about getting an ipad because I like the form-factor but since I have an iphone I couldnt see the point as it wouldnt offer me anything more in order to justify the cost of the produt.

I am however looking at getting a netbook (with Hi-def vid support) and a 3g connection and office 2010 which will offer me better functionality for my needs.
