A slight word of advise to you guys, if it will let you (took me a few attempts), log into your Apple Store account and see how many orders you have. It would seem I currently have 6 iPhones on order! Seems each time I got to the final page and got "Oops!" back as a response it had actually placed the order. Time to start cancelling them now or I'll be selling them on street corners lol

After my experience with the Vodafone Dunedin store staff earlier today I will definitely not be going back. I will just get it from the Apple Online Store, its worth the wait.

Yes I did, there were two staff in the store, one was dealing with a customer, the other was yawning. I had to approach them first (obviously not that keen to make a sale), asked if I could pre-order, she claimed I could, goes and talks to partner who says no, she tells me no. I ask how many they are ordering in, she tells me its $1049 for the 16GB model. I correct her, she pulls out what looks to be a memo and tells me she has no idea. I walk out of the store.

I'm still trying to cancel mine. Have managed to cancel one up to now so just one more to go. Don't want to go too far though and accidentally cancel all of them lol.
Maybe worth looking at you bank account online and see how many $1 charges there are. I noticed earlier that I had three and that was the amount of orders that Apple had processed.

Hooray I got in. Only the one order. Delivers 16th to 23rd. Good stuff. Yep, be careful not to go delete crazy. :)
Checked my account, only one ordered. Mine went through on the 3rd attempt. Anyone else get the extended warranty? I was hoping we'd get the new CarePlus but doesn't look like it which is a bit frustrating!

I'd have bought it if it was CarePlus but couldn't see the point just for standard AppleCare

I would have preferred AppleCare+ too, but I bought the standard AppleCare. I usually replace my device every two years and I like the idea of it being covered under warranty throughout that period.
So I finally got round to ordering my iPhone 4S last night (took me a little while, had a slight dilemma on which color to choose) ;) but the order went through no problems, and delivery date at the time was stated as between 15-22 (from memory) November.
Logged into the Apple site and checked this morning on the order and shipping date is now pushed out, now stating 27th November with a delivery date of the 28th.

Just wondering if anyone else has the same estimated shipping dates? Know that these are only estimated and it could quite possibly be delivered before then, but if this is the case I'm thinking of trying my chances at one of the retail stores to see if I can get mine a little earlier and then cancel the order with Apple... Been living with my Motorola Razr for far too long! ;)

Odd you ave a definite date but ordered last night and those of us who ordered earlier don't have a date yet. Hopefully that means they will be dispatched sooner (hopefully before launch) but they don't want to give a real date yet ;-)
