Never heard of them before. I did a whois lookup and got this which looks suspicious:

registrant_contact_address1: PO Box 251485
registrant_contact_address2: Pakuranga
registrant_contact_city: Auckland

registrant_contact_address1: Northcote
registrant_contact_city: North Shore
registrant_contact_province: North Shore
registrant_contact_postalcode: 0627
registrant_contact_country: NZ (NEW ZEALAND)
registrant_contact_phone: +64 2 211458297
registrant_contact_email: support@screenhug.co.nz

They only list a PO Box and the guy has a foreign name. Its quite likely the guy is buying in from overseas and does not have a registered company.

I've never used a screen protector on my 3GS for 2.5 years I've had it and it doesn't have a single scratch on the screen, even after having a bit of roof fall on it with the Christchurch earthquakes.  As long as you're not putting it in a pocket which you have your keys in, I doubt you'll need one.

A screen protector helps with the eventual resale. An iPhone with screen protector and case is a bit like the Bubble Boy. But thats a good thing

I've never used a screen protector and you look closely enough at my two year old 3GS you can see one or two very small scratches but overall it's in very good condition.

Having said that I have always kept it in a Sena leather case whenever I've been transporting it anywhere, and I'm sure that's made a big difference.

Remember .. 90% of iPhone 4 cases won't fit on an iPhone 4S.

Just spent the better part of an hour installing a screen protector on my new 4S.. Back is looking very good, front has a few micro bubbles but hopefully they'll disappear overnight.. Got mine off TradeMe, never used it before so can't comment on it just yet - However I believe that Telecom are selling protectors for $10 inshore otherwise.

During the launch on Friday morning I watched a few screen protectors being put on.  If it were me I would get a protector and ask for it to be put on while you're there.  As I believe they are only $10 (but I could be wrong so don't quote me on it) and for the sake of a few dollars and a few bubbles it's worth asking if you can find one of the retail folks who I am sure has done it a few times could do it for you.  He certainly made it look easy.  Personally I have tried to install one on my old phone and made a real hack job of it.  Second time round it was much better :)

Again these are my own views and experiences.  But for a few dollars and for the time spent mucking around if you haven't ever done it before as there certainly is a trick to installing the covers well and bubble/dust free..... why wouldn't you just buy it and get it put on the phone while you wait if you're buying it from a Telecom retail store?
