Got mine yesterday (was out so re-delivered today). Same as @littleheaven
Sending back old one tommorow in the pre-paid TNT bag.

As per the usual std disclaimer.. "All thoughts typed here are my own."
I only got one kit a few days ago, but used the same serial number of the device multiple times. So I don't think they are allowing more than one adapter per device, which is annoying. So I will have to phone them again, which last time took 45 minutes. They have priced the part as 15 cents. The one I got wasn't a great fit, it sticks out a bit at the edge with a sharp edge, and is also not the same white colour. But that was always going to happen.
I received the first of about 10 replacements that I ordered online. No credit card hold or fee of any kind. I've just gotten off the phone with Apple who confirmed that I don't need to send back the faulty parts (for me it's a massive PITA because I have to drop them at an NZ Couriers Depot because of where I live).
I do feel a bit bad though that they've chosen to send out all 10 replacement ones individually in massive TNT bags filled with prepaid labels and bubblewrap to return a faulty product from NZ to Sydney where it'll likely just be thrown out. Sorry environment!!! :/
The man on the phone from AppleCare said "it's expected that customers will return the faulty duckheads, however as no charge has been placed on your card I would be very very surprised if you were called out/charged for not returning the faulty product".
Just a heads up to people so that you don't have to go through the hassle of sending back the faulty part.
I just received my replacement part, which was a very interesting experience considering that the courier wasn't watching where she was driving and went off the "cliff". Cue 20-30 minutes of trying various things to get the van unstuck again...
Got a second one today, and they picked up the bag of the other one. This one says 17 cents, the other was 15 cents. Such an inefficient way of doing this. I suppose they are picking up the old ones, so that people don't have any dangerous plug parts left, and they can prove that they made all efforts to retrieve them, even if people don't both to return them, so legally they are covered.
They should just have had a webpage asking how many you want to order, up to say 10. That is going to cost them that maximum of $1.50 in parts per order, even if people over ordered. Then send them in a single courier bag. That would have saved them so much money in courier fees, and wasted human labour. I thought apple were supposed to be an efficient company.
Did anyone successfully request a pick up to send the return bag using online TNT.com? Instructions were to login to TNT.com and request pickup or call the 0800 number.
The 0800 number is out of office hours by the time I come back home and there is no where I can find on their website where I can schedule a pick up based on a reference number.
As far as returning the old one goes, I'll just see whether I can drop it into the mailroom at work. Otherwise it'll be in the "too hard basket".
How can ipads and ipods be affected by this recall, mine both came with lightning/usb leads and usb power adapters.

ipods don't come with power adapters (except possibly the 1st gen). It is only the power adapter affected, and it is just the detachable bit that plugs into the wall.

I've now received six of my 11 replacements (and three more due for re-delivery on Monday). They've been for a mixture of devices - iPhones, iPods and iPads. They sent me the wrong thing for my 6S. It shipped with the all-in-one 5W cube adapter but they sent me just a duckhead. My sister hasn't done her replacement requests yet so I'll swap that one out for one of her faulty heads and send that back. Someone mentioned the all-in-ones were okay? In any event I'm not using that one, having bought an 18W dual-charging PQI device that does a phone and an iPad simultaneously.

Got to admit, when you look at what they send, it's extremely wasteful...

(sidenote was hoping that tweet would autoembed, guess not)

Yeah, I've got that x 11! Considering I logged all bar one or two of the requests within the same 30-minute period, all against the one Apple ID, I would have thought they'd have processed them as a group. I am salving my conscience by recycling the plastic outer bags in the new soft plastic recycling service that's popped up outside Pak'n'Save.

I've got 2 more coming, I'm going to package them all up in one of the bags and send them a 'Reduce, Reuse, Recycle' brochure + their unused bags.

That's correct, the all in one cubes that look something like the below (except with the NZ prongs and a lot of them are more rectangular than square are ok. They don't have a duckhead to replace, and are not at risk of breaking. The serial numbers are not really being verified which is why you were sent one anyway. Apple are replacing any and all duckheads shipped between 2003-2015 (although only a very small number of products are actually affected).
