tardtasticx: So I called Slingshot on Saturday, hung up on 3 times, disconnected the call myself twice because I was on hold for over 15mins, so I called Telecom to ask a few questions, mainly about the waiting list on the exchange. I'd like to switch, but they said due to a sub-devision being built down the road, I may not be able to get back onto the Telecom network quick if the service is bad, and the reviews I see about Slingshot, too much of a risk. Sorry guys :/

So get the slingshot connection as a new one and run both till you arehappy that the slingshot one is working for you? Imo the possibility of losing the port makes that advisable for any ISP change if you rely on internet. It shouldnt be this way really.

If so, is a static IP available with this plan and what is the cost?
I'm not 100% sure if static IP's are available on the unlimited plan only on capped plans.
I will check tomorrow.
