Yes i signed up to a 12 month contact with Orcon for my UFB connection.

But 1 month on and we are still having issues with speed/connectivity... cant get over 30Mbit anywhere except Orcons official speedtest (and that includes our own gear at Orcons DC) and upload connectivity is complete crap (dialup speeds over FTP etc).

At what stage is it a case of "You are not providing us with what you said you would" and therefore i can leave Orcon?

Anyone dealt with this type of issue with Orcon before?

Simon

Hey Paul, on a call with business tech support now, so will flick you a PM only if there is no resolution here OK? Dont want to clog the system with multiple people checking the same thing :)

I get around 65mbps to Orcon DC or p2p Orcon fibre on a 100/50mbps "business" UFB service. It's not perfect but still pretty good for us.

I have fibre with another provider, initially I had issues and finally did a 'reset' on the ONT. (need a small pin) and once this was done and I also reset the modem, the connectivity and speed issues disappeared!

I was getting 0.5Mb/s to Sydney last night, when ever it gets slow try a test to Sydney, that usually shows how slow it really is... Locally as you would expect should be maxing out your line... Orcon are having so many speed issues

Is that the same as turning it off at the wall? Or does a reset do something deeper?

Yes, does something more than just switching it off. Hope the OP tries it, as it worked straight away for me!

The ONT obviously does re download its settings or something - was about 5 mins from memory
