Last night we enabled IPV6 for Slingshot xDSL (EUBA, LLU) on our Northcote BNG which services most of the North Shore, Auckland area.

If you live on the North Shore and have an IPV6 enabled modem, reboot it and it should allocate you some IPV6.

We will be rolling out the rest of NZ for Slingshot xDSL services in December and UFB in the new year.

- Enjoy

Well done. Hopefully this will give others a bit more incentive to do the same!

Hi, would this upgrade be causing any problems to existing VDSL connections in Wellington?

Can you release any stats on % of users with v6 available that are now using it?

Also out of interest, how big are the prefixes? Is it being provided over the PPP session, or has CPE been changed to IPoE along with the v6 roll out?

We are handing out /56 to each subscriber. Currently only doing xDSL so PPP sessions.

Not seeing a high % yet, but that is due to the slingshot brand beiing BYOM in the past so have a lot of legacy CPE out there which doesnt support IPV6. ANy new modems we lease/give customers support IPV6.

Slingshot UFB currently isn't enabled for IPV6. (works in the lab). We won't be changing Slingshot to IPoE but we will support both PPP and IPoE in the near future for customers who want to swap over to IPoE.

Orcon UFB subscribers use IPoE already.
