PaulLowman: Josh

Two things are really annoying me at the moment and I was wondering when we might see a fix?

- Persistent sort in library screen
- Slower response to remote to avoid toggling of play/pause etc.

I have also noticed the odd occasion where the wrong recording is highlighted when stopping a watched program. This can lead to deleting the wrong item.
(I think I have seen this mentioned previously)

One other thing , though it is maybe very subjective, the 1.5 fast forward seems of doubtful use and I find the gabbling audio annoying.

Keep up the good work.

Can you please let me know what unit you are referring to? The T2200 has been updated with new features in the LIB with the sort issue fixed and new series and episode view.

Yes sorry - I just saw that post. It is a T2200. Glad to see progress is being made.

T2200

Two things tonight.

- Stopped viewing recording and library view came up with wrong recording highlighted. I know this has been raised before but it needs fixing.
- Persistent sort works but not so useful when the sort is wrong after deleting a recording. I had to change sort to a different criteria and then go back to the desired sort to correct order of recordings showing.
- The multiple responses to the IR remote is unacceptable and also should be fixed asap. Not difficult ...

I have been a software developer for over 35 years and I have serious concerns about your development team. These are simple problems and should not be happening and indicate , to me, a problematic software architecture. I don't mean to be a misery but these UI issues are getting past tolerable.

Two more things tonight:

- Got this message when I fired up unit to watch news :-

Media not alive. Please check your HDD
connection (or) contact your local dealer.

Required a power cycle to fix.

- Second issue - I am sorting library by programme. The sort is not done correctly as it does not handle the start time/date properly.

Hi Paul, I have noted down the past two responses, can you tell me if the HDD no connection error was a one off or does this repeat several times everytime you try and access recorded content? The HDD is not loaded until the start up notification says "Media Active" on the bottom right of the screen.

Hi All,

Just wanted to take this time to thank you all for your massive support and major role in providing us what you want in our 2015 products, from squashing bugs to detailing some features to giving us broadcast info when we needed them! And also providing us info on our older devices too! It's been paid off and we are till going to work hard right up to Christmas Eve (Well me here on Geek zone anyway) to get things sorted. If you have any suggestions to the features please continue to post them here on this thread, please be aware that this time of year things start to unwind however I will be mostly on for technical support on here and Freeview Forum during the festive season.

I can't guarantee it but I'll ask the boss if we can do a Christmas giveaway to our Geekzone Members,

Thanks! Josh

The HD problem was a one off.

Further to the sort feature - last night when I selected the library view the list was only partly sorted with some new recordings not listed with the previously recorded programmes. Sorted by programme. Was corrected after a resort.

...or you can exit the library and then go back in to fix the odd sorting after a recording has taken place , this has been happening since day one in various forms . It would be great if the box did a resort/refresh when exiting from a playback or chasing a recording , that would likely solve the issue entirely, or perhaps if each time the library screen were invoked that it refreshed automatically.

Hi Josh,

I want to say thanks back. I would hazard a guess and say you are the most proactive company I have seen on these forums in some time. The best Christmas present DishTV could give the GZ members is to keep up the great support you have shown in the last few months. Here's to 2016!

Merry Christmas!

Matt

Watching TV3 news while it was recording. Message appeared stating recording successful whereupon T2200 dropped back to live TV and became unresponsive to commands to restart playback. Power cycle restored unit but when playback of TV3 news was restarted it began at the beginning although library view showed it as part watched.

Happy Xmas Josh

Another one tonight :-

Watching recorded program - fast forward though ads - pressed play and audio and video completely out of sync, very confusing. Pressed fast back and then play - now OK.

Cheers

Thanks Paul for this, Can you keep replicating the issue for a few more content, then I will get the team to look into it from Hamilton.

Have a great Christmas too Paul! Take care and keep in touch!

Last night failed to record 3 News. Now shows as looking for repeats. Last recorded on 31st Dec.
Library now comes up in series view although set to programme view.
Library sort still not correct with newly recorded shows not grouping properly even after a resort.

Any idea of when these issue will be addressed as I am seriously considering going back to MySky.

On the First day of the year TV3 decide to change the Series of the news. Hence the old recording will not work and you need to set a new one for the new series.

It happened to me on my T1050
