Bug (V1.30)

Multi-part (not series) programs not recorded

Not sure if "multi-part programs" is the correct terminology, so here is an example.

Use the EPG/guide button on the remote to bring up the Freeview guide.

Go to Sat 20 Aug 2016 with channel = Prime

Select  program 00:30 Road to Rio and press the red button to set up a recording

When asked to record series select "No"

The display will now show the following four programs set to record once

00:30 Rio on Prime [R]

06:00 Good Morning Rio [R]

09:30 Rio on Prime [R]

12:30 Rio on Prime [R]

Canceling the the recording for any one of these programs cancels them all. This is what I am calling a multi-part recording

The bug is that in this case only "00:30 Rio on Prime" will be recorded. After the event, a message appears in the schedule "Looking repeat event" with event type "Single"

Bug (V1.30)

Extended info for a recorded program that you are playing back, is wrong after a new program starts recording.

The recorded list (library) is episode mode with most recent recording at the top of the list.

Extended info appears if you press the info button twice during play back. It contains a description of the recorded program.

If a new recording starts while you are watching an item from the recorded library, the position of all the recordings in the library change (move down) and the wrong extended information is now displayed for recording that you are playing back.

This is something you will need to talk to SKY TV about as they release the data on the EPG to Freeview, unfortunately we are unable to do much about how listings are set as they contain a unique code in which the PVR understands what to record.

A similar thing happens when a program is interrupted by the live lotto draw on a Saturday night. As this is clearly a possible recording scenario, I think that you need to look into why the PVR is not handling it correctly, rather than blaming the broadcaster! If multiple EPG entries are linked, why can't each have an entry in the list of scheduled recordings? At the moment only the first entry is added to the list, so that is the only one that gets recorded.

Yes I reported a problem whereby any program that is interrupted by the lotto draw gets recorded at the regular time and again at the +1 time. Even if it's only in the schedule once and removing it and readding it doesn't help.

Hello, I have installed the T2200, I am not complaining, but just wanted to be thoroughly familiar with the unit and its capabilities. In the library all of my recordings are automatically locked. Dish TV suggests that I reboot to the default, which I am happy to do and no doubt will fix the problem. However is there a setting change to do this, or how did I get to do this at all. Probably as a result of the lock, everyting I do requires me to input my password. Unlock, delete, enter library, play library. Very time consuming. Any ideas where the setting is that I have changed.

Hi mondograss

Recording faults were fixed in this latest firmware version v1.30 please make sure that your device is updated.

Thanks

To Factory Reset simply head to Installation > Factory Reset  Enter in your PIN code then the unit will reset all settings and rescan for the channels. You will need to go back to the EPG and book your shows again. Recorded content will not be erased.

Josh,

With the one year anniversary of the release of the T2200 coming up on the 1st September, can you tell us when the recording rewind function will be working? It seem like this is function is fundamental to the operation of a PVR and should have been working from the start.

the only issue i have with rewinding is the picture sometimes freezes, but it definitely rewinds faster than 2x

For me, rewinding a recording consistently locks up video playback. This video illustrates the problem in detail...

"This video contains content from International Olympic Committee, who has blocked it on copyright grounds.  "

lol  , oh well give it a crack on some local content i guess  where sky isn't watching .

What you are describing is what used to happen before updates occurred in my experience.   I checked the recording around Lotto on the weekend and it no longer doubles up the recording FYI Josh.

A factory reset is still highly recommended to attempt to fix this

Try the new link above...

Tried a factory reset. It does not fix these problems.

cools, that video is 702 Mb !  Perhaps lower the quality .

I think you should send your T2200 in for a factory overhaul , its not normal given you are running V1.30

for the record i dont run live pause and it seems to take the overhead off the unit and get acceptable general use.
