jaidevp: Hi, is the T2200 in retail now, according to above it should be? Would like to go purchase one today or in the weekend.

We now have them on our website ready to order for delivery on Tuesday. And will be in retailers over the weekend and definitely from Monday next, Our statement will be up on Geekzone on Tuesday which explains features etc...

How about a Geekzone special price? :-)

A GZ special price would be great. I have an order in with JB as they have the T2200 for $388 + $10 delivery. If you could match this price I would cancel the JB order.

Cheers, Matt

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I have discussed this with the team and we are unable to provide any discount at this stage as the retailers will be significantly cheaper than our own website (including discount)

joshhill96: That shouldn't happen! I'll make sure our retailers don't get confused between the two models. Return it back and ask for the T2200 model.

Yea I think it hadn't come in yet, I just handed it back and said that's not the T2200.

Do series link'ed programs recorded on the T2200 get stored/sorted into their own folders?  So they do not to clutter the Playback library?

OK, some new feedback on the satBox S8200.

It looks like last weeks firmware up date to 1.17 removed the ondemand apps, and now there are no apps on the device again frownfrownfrown

Please can we have them back as they had been there are they worked and they were very useful.

In the library we use the sort function to order recorded programmes (might be by date, or by programme), but when we exit the programme just watched most of the time it exits to something else randomly highlighted, not what we've just watched. And twice now it has exited to a different episode of the programme just watched and we've deleted the wrong episode because of this. When exiting the programme could it please always exit to that programme. Thanks.

And could it remember the Sort function as 9-times-out-of-10 when you exit the programme you have to sort again!

Thanks,
Craig

Hi Craig

The Apps have been removed because they are still seeking approval from Freeview and the broadcasters, the apps that you saw a few weeks ago were accidental and unsure why they were released. During this time we are working on fixing the TVNZ playback on shows. They should be close to getting fixed and hopefully approved to be released soon, there is no firmware release needed to get the apps as the APPS PORTAL is connected to our server.

Josh I have posted my Feedback/Issues for the T2200 in your thread for this model.
Edit: As per your request Josh, I have copied my Feedback here.  I hope you can address them.

Multiple EPG's
-I've now discovered that potentially the box has 4 ways to view the EPG all with limitations, i.e there isn't one that can do all the functions... I missed the Quick select guide, this one is least useful of all the other 3, you cannot record from this guide.  Also on my receiver I cannot get to the Quick Select guide by pressing "OK" on the remote, I actually can't remember how I got to it, I will try again tonight..

-The Freeview one which takes ages to load and is very simple, no access to OnDemand, but can book series linked shows.

-The FreeviewPlus guide, which in my opinion is the best one however with 1 glaring omission, you cannot series link shows to record, unless I am missing something?  It does take its time to load but quicker than the Freeview one.

-The EPG of the receiver it self which is loaded via the menu, about as useful as the Freeview one, can book series linked shows, no access to OnDemand functions.

FreeviewPlus Guide (EPG)
-I still prefer the FreeviewPlus Guide, please allow the series link/booking functionality from this guide and I can use it solely,  ignoring all the others.
-In saying that however it is a bit of hit and miss in launching the guide, often I have to press the "Red" button several times, it's got worse after I enabled "time shifting".
-Is there a setting which can launch the full FWP guide expanded rather than the mini guide, and a few more button presses to expand it?

Time shifting
-I have enabled Auto time shifting, is there a way to disable the "Time shifting" Banner?
-A time shifted program will be entered into the Library, with the Status showing "Time shifting", while this is useful it will quickly clutter up the Library with multiple entries of the same program esp if you channel surf.  Is there are way to hide these, or filter them out?  There are no sort options based on Recording Status..
-As above with time shifting enabled I found it even harder to get the FreeviewPlus Guide to come up, having to press the "Red" button multiple times.

Library
-Can you add the "Recoding Status" into the Sort and Filter options?  This will make it easier to ignore the "Time Shifted" programs.  Or better yet, ability to Hide Time shifted programs.
-Can you add an option to sort all series linked programs into their own folder?

Recording
-When you attempt to record a program and the box detects a clash, it notifies you in a rather crude method, a single white thin banner at the top with a cryptic message.  This message also sticks around for too long with no obvious way to dismiss it.  (I will take note of the message, and update here).

So far I have only had the box for 1 day, I will provide further feedback once I have integrated it into everyday viewing, the aim is it will replace the Tivo.. however it's currently a hard sell to the wife with the usability issues.

The EIT guide is there because Australia doesn't use MHEG and needs the EIT it is something we can't separate between the two markets here in NZ and Aus , The MHEG guide is there at this stage because you can easily series book from it. And freeview plus provides the FreeviewPlus guides. In testing back in May the option to series link is available however I will double check on my unit to see if Freeview has removed this feature, please be aware that MyFreeviewPlus has just been released on Monday.

When Auto timeshifting the unit should not be saving anything in the library with every channel change, our software guys are correcting this now

We are looking at enabling 4 recordings at once just no ETA at this stage.

Great thanks, Yes having the series link available in the MyFreeviewPlus guide will mean there is no need to use the other EPG's.
Are there ways to reduce loading time, reduce the lag and improve responsiveness of the FreeviewPlus guide?

Great look forward to that.

I also found out when time shifting you can only bring up the FreeviewPlus guide at the start.  If you rewind the TimeShifted program, you cannot then bring up the guide, fairly annoying. However what's more frustrating is, when you press Stop to catchup to Live TV, you still cannot bring up the Freeview Plus guide, unless you press stop again to "Stop" timeshiftimg.

Is this a bug?

Thanks for responding and taking onboard the feedback for improvements.

We've had our T2200 for a few days now, and are really enjoying it after updating the software -- no problems in our use of it at all, so congratulations on a great product.

The only slight niggle is that you can't play stuff you recorded onto an PVR HDD previously attached to a T1050 on the T2200 by attaching the HDD to the USB port -- apparently the files are encrypted to the 1050  So we are using both at present, and I'm hoping that the family will satiate themselves on the 1050 stuff quickly so that I can use the HDD for something else...

We too have a T2200 to replace our old Magiv TV 3600.

Features I would love to see, that the Magic TV had are:

1) Ability to set scheduled recordings to auto delete. We record the news each night, and on the Magic TV we could set it to only keep the last 14 recordings. Found that handy.
2) Slip ahead set at 4 minutes. I am guessing that may be set by Freeview.
3) I recall mention of the port you could type in to watch the signal over the network. I can not find it now. Can you please advise what it is? Found it. :8080
4) I think this has come up before, but Series Recordings are done on both the main channel and the +1 channels it appears. Can it be set up to record from one OR other, not both. End up having to delete two of each recording.

Other than this, I am liking the new unit. Love the fact it has a DLNA client in it.

The +1 linking has been lodged with the software team, it should actually record just the first channel however if there's the +1 recording made I will send this through to our team on Monday.

Thanks for your view so far, we hope you make the most of the features available !
