Advertised here too, branded as "Satlink":
http://gedltd.co.nz/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=86&products_id=4652
$775 in about a week.

At FreeviewNZ (Satlink branded) - $839
http://www.freeviewnz.com/vu__duo.html

Hmmmmm - freeviewnz.com and satlink.co.nz look to be the same outfit. ET?

Good discussion here - with pics (branded as "Marusys"):
http://www.allsats.co.uk/index.php?topic=10623.0

Seems to be the same thing with various brands - who actually makes them I wonder.

It has very interesting specs, but the question in my mind is whether it delivers on them reliably and if not, who's going to fix it. I'm interested because the unit I've had for a month or so doesn't, asking for support just generates abuse, and "once bitten, twice shy". (Not mentioning any names at the moment - delicate situation with supplier).

This box though may have wide community support if it is based on a Dreambox Linux system, plug-ins etc.

It also rates a mention here:

Well - I've got a shiny new 1 TB USB 2 drive I could use, so I'd be opting for the 500GB model and attach the 1 TB via one of the USB ports.  I'd expect that recording could be to multiple volumes, but who knows.

I guess prices will drop, especially since there is at least some competition.

I'm optimistic - it seems to have a lot going for it, especially if there really is a broad support base.

Well - my order is in. If the launch date is met, I may even have it by the weekend.

When you get it post a review. It looks like an interesting bit of kit.

Will do.  Dealer expects stock on Friday, and will despatch mine ASAP, so maybe I'll have it early next week.
I'm just a learner, so I may not know all of the ins-and-outs.

I won't be able to help you on that alas as I don't use Windows.  Head over to http://www.vuplus-support.co.uk/ and search or ask there, perhaps.

No sign of mine yet. The latest word I've had is that it could be "this week or next week".

Anyone got theirs?
