I am writing a document in response to a potential scenario which could occur where I work, however I’m having trouble finding the answers I’m looking for.   The scenario is this: 2012r2 DHCP.   We have a scope on a 2012r2 DHCP server at a remote site. The scope has a hot standby fail over relationship with a 2012r2 DHCP server at our main campus. The remote site DHCP is the active scope, and will fail over to the standby DHCP scope in the event that the active one goes down.   This much I am fine with.   Scenario…. Imagine if you will that the active node server at the remote site is destroyed, and the standby node kicks in to continue providing IP address leases. In recovery, the remote site node is rebuilt as a new server. Does anyone know the process (or point me to a document that details the process) for re-establishing the failover relationship to it’s original configuration?   I’m guessing something like this: e.g. One of my DHCP servers (DHCP1) of my failover partnerships has died and I need to rebuild it from scratch What are the steps? 1) deauthorise DHCP1
2) remove failover partnerships on DHCP2
3) rebuild server DHCP1, reinstall roles, reinitiate failover partnerships or something else?

Any comments appreciated.
