nzkiwiboy: lmao! i've never spent over 400 on a phone, im only 14 =/ which the 845 would probably be good for me, i think i'd probably get it.
I paid $179 for my daughter's fairly ordinary Samsung flip-phone recently....and if the V845 had been available then I would absolutely have got it instead.
I have a V845...and a Nexus One...and a Samsung Galaxy S. The two top-end phones blow the v845 away.....but the v845 gets the last laugh because it can do virtually everything the more expensive phones can do......for 1/4 or 1/5 the price. The 845 is responsive, not sluggish at all, has enough RAM and runs Android v2.1. It has an FM Radio built in and GPS works great for turn-by-turn nav with Google Maps. For the $168 to $199.....the v845 kicks serious arse.
The higher-priced phones have the larger capacitive screens...and that means feather-touch touch screens, whereas the v845's resistive screen needs calibrating...and you have to actually push on it a wee bit to get it work.
The good news is the "SlideIt" swipe keyboard works quite well on the 845...and you can type almmost as fast using it on the 845 as you can on the Nexus or Galaxy S.
