The only issue I have with the WidgetLocker is that sometimes the old locker pops up for few seconds. Do you also get that?

No, but that's because I've got "No lock" as well. That one stops the Samsung lock from activating. No Lock is a free app on the market.

Is there any information when TNZ/Samsung will release 2.2 for XT users?
I just tried the registry hack to update to 2.2 using Kies, it goes through the entire process, but after the restart I'm still running 2.1-update1.

One of the guys at work has a Telecom SGS and he used the reg hack and has Froyo on his phone now. I haven't heard when 2.2 is going to be officially released.

I've tried the reg hack multiple times now, each time it says my phones ready for an update, each time I tell it to update, each time it goes through the entire download process of file to PC, then file to the phone, then it takes an extra long time to restart, but each time it restarts its still 2.1-update1. Using latest Kies and 1.7 of the registry hack.

Finally caught up on Doc's thread.

Update to the few things that aren't working as expected:

Doc is looking into the battery drain. Believes he's identified the problem and is looking for a fix.

ROM Manger isn't working correctly. There's an option in CWM to take a Nandroid backup (doing that at the mo)

MMS - seems I was just oblivious to 3G being used in the past. My current experience is correct.

Unable to apply the CSC. No update since providing Bloodrider the KOR CSC folder to compare to.

Was there anything else? Can't remember.

Had one last go at getting Kies to update it properly. It seems Kies thinks the JL1 is the latest version, rather than the JP1 that some XT users have reported being able to update to. So when it was 'updating' my phone it was just putting JL1 on top of an already existing JL1 install.

Severely disappointing that a flagship model has such an unusual problem.

I've got V4 but didn't know it was called "final". I looked to see if there were maybe two versions but no. So I guess I'll stick my hand up :)

The battery drain is really bad. I turned wifi off last night and had 3% battery drain in 8 hours. But if you leave wifi on, expect your battery to practically drain over an 8 hour period.

I'm not sure if it relates to Docs rom or JPU in general. ROM Manager doesn't work well - can't take a backup of your ROM, however CWM has a backup function so that's the work around.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but I preferred V9 of the ROM, which was pre JPU.

Lots of things are new in JPU (or since), Market has changed, Google Maps v5 (which is way cool!) but these aren't specific to the ROM version.

What version of Docs ROM are you on, if you're on a customised ROM at all?

I still reckon you should go back to something that worked for you in the past Neets. But that's just me. :P

BTW, have downloaded No Lock, which works as it should (thanks for the tip), plus bunch of kids games. My son is not giving me my phone back now, all the color ins and alphabets are playing on my phone non-stop! hahaha...

In answer to your other post, I think I'm going to try DDJP6_UltraSlim_v1.3. Others (Beta testers predominately) have said they've gone back to that after trying JPU. Actually they've gone back to 1.1 but that's not available. And 1.3 includes some bug fixes.

I never tried it. But what's to lose :-)

Glad your son is enjoying your phone :-D What did you flash in the end, and did you get the 3BR sorted?

You have everything to gain by the sound of it. :P

I just upgraded to JP3 through Kies. RE 3BR: I'm posting on XDA forums in that Heimdall thread, asking questions which I'm sure making me look like a tool. :P I don't mind tho, I'd rather look like a tool, but have a working phone. :D

I accidentally left my cable at work. This is where I'm glad I've got a micro SD card. While it's a slight pain in the a$$ to have to power down the phone, whip the card and out an copy data to it, it's more convenient than going a whole weekend without having something to flash :-D
