Hi

what SIM card and data plan can I put into a 4g router?

all of the plans I can find are for mobile phone use only  I don’t understand the technology but am aware that the provider can tell that the sim is not in a phone and disable the connection.

i need enough data for streaming tv while away from home.
I have considered hotspoting but would prefer a proper wifi setup

Never come across a SIM being disabled because it was not in a phone....

TBH providers don't overly care what you put the SIM in, and using it for, long as its legal.

So any SIM and plan would work in a 4G router. Just pick a plan with decent data allowance.
