Hi all

Having some trouble with blue screen memory management crashes on windows 10 and I'm hoping someone could check my memtest results. Think

RAM is Mushkin Blackline FrostByte 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600 CL9 (996995) that I brought back in 2012.

Is it time for new RAM? Dancing

Thanks

You should have ZERO errors on Memtest. You have hundreds.

Replace your RAM.

To add to the above, it is worth reseating the memory and re-testing.

Also testing one stick in each slot at a time, on an older pc of mine it ended up being slot1 was causing memory issues where all 3 others were fine.

That RAM has a lifetime warranty. Get it replaced for free and spend the $$ on other upgrades.

The trouble with "lifetime" guarantees is that most people have lost their receipt years ago.

Which is what the manufacturers count on.  wink

Memtest x86 doesn't find all kinds of memory faults. I had random disk corruption for a while, but memtest said RAN was fine, so I was about to replace the entire computer. I found HCI Memtest, not as easy to use, but it confirmed faulty ram. It was replaced by the manufacturer and disk corruption stopped.

Moral of the story - test using multiple programs. But if any say it's fault, it's faulty.

I've never had issues returning stuff years after I've lost the receipt, with Kingston at least.. I can't speak for other brands.
