McDonald's says its beef patties are made of beef mince only, salt and pepper. Add a slice of Mainland cheese, a bun and tomato sauce and tell me how is this unhealthy, compared to that staple of Kiwi food, fish and chips?
I hardly dare to comment but I believe that tomato sauce generally has a very high sugar content and are there not different grades of beef mince, from lean and expensive to fat, gristle and cheap? I am asking, not making a statement. I do not think fish and chips can be held up as a healthy alternative, especially as the fish is deep fried, but I suppose it at least it has the virtue of being traditional.
I'd say then that most Kiwi kids are doomed even if they eat at home - tomato sauce seems to be common around the country...
