Right - bored of this.

Move on to the next deal now (and please don't let it be another printer deal :-))

Ordered one. Received confirmation of order email from NZ site straight away

Two days later received Cancelled email from Aus office. After many had received their emails

Clause referred to for reason for cancellation in T&C is about WEBSITE error

Immediately searched site for item and NONE EXISTED

A day later and the item is back on the site at the standard price (yes it is out of the Sale period)

Results: disappointment, awaiting "hold" on credit card to be released, never trusting website sales again

Same old same old
(and still a bit skeptical)

<- don't ask me where I am - I haven't a clue: its a tech thing ;)
Housewife computerer: not particularly great at either.
And don't take me too seriously.

This sort of thing happens all the time... dont know why people get so up in arms about it to be honest. Its all spelt out in the law/terms and so on, hasnt changed from last time it occurred.

Anyway, think this applies.............

Seems like normal decrease in price over time with specials every so often..

The thing is you don't know whether a pricing error is really an error or not, or a 'Crazy' promotion, loss leader. Some of the sales in their boxing day sales have been massive percentages off. The thing is that they never said that this was a pricing error, just a problem with their website.

And of course they choose to ignore all the posts on their Facebook pages - even from the ones still wanting to know where their refunds are.

Hi there,

We have been contacted by our technical support team as we have had an issue with this refund not porting through to our system correctly, and they have advised that this problem has affected your happiness.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

I emailed them directly asking for more clarification of their porting statement (what it meant and what does it have to do with their stated T&C) and nothing back from them.

I think it is a pretty disgusting performance all round from them. They look like they are just ignoring their customers posts on social media, and probably hoping they will just go away. It doesn't look like they have replied to any of the people facebook. It shows how a company shouldn't manage a social media account.

That email they sent was also poor form, as it didn't mention it was a pricing mistake, just a 'porting error'. Addressing it 'Hi there' like they are mates with the customer, and not finishing the email with the name of person who had written the email, is not a professional look.

I think their T&Cs basically say they can back out of any sale if they want to without providing an explanation. Let us know what they say when they do reply.
