I don't like Debbie, not adding anything
DeG on, that means no answer, Santner on now
Hope Sodhi joins him
haha NZ currently 4th in Tests, ODIs and T20s. Well our tests have picked up clearly due to Pakistan tour and our t20 has dropped 3 places from #1.
I dont think we will be in 4 in ODIs or tests at the end of this Eng tour.

It needs to be weighted like ATP. Recent matched matter more, weak opposition matters
Santner got one though, and yes Sodhi is on
Sodhi gets wicket but its way wide, a sh!te ball. Any luck will do right now, no idea why they are checking the catch its clean

? Hes bowled there because thats what Kane placed santner around the corner for. bit churlish calling it a bad ball, hes not bowling that wide hes bowling a carrot, brilliant captaincy, bowling and fielding. that was the only way he was going to get out and Kane knew it.
Most leg cutters get their wickets from field placement and carrot balls. Id saay 75% of Warnes wickets were taken that way.
This is where the run rate will drop and Eng will canter. The difference is they can afford to now, 5rpo and they nearly at 300, and they have 9 proper batsmen left eeeeek.
Thats the difference for Kane, he cant afford to bat like Root as we dont have a lot of other batsmen to get that run rate.
Perfect timing by Kane to bring on Santner, Roy is gone and I dont feel Bairstow will step down the pitch like Roy, so will plug the run rate.

Thats so wrong. If it was Santners way wide ball you would call it out as you have done. So you feel its a planned move to bowl wide after wide? No. he got lucky which we will take

Santner wouldnt be bowling that line. You really dont think that was planned? I think if so you are really going to call 75% of Sodhis wickets lucky.
If Santner did bowl there and it was caught i would say the same thing.
Its the one spot thats hard to keep down and hes out of eye site, even though though the batsman knows hes there, its very hard to roll your wrists that late.
Notice Santner is still there? Well expect a few more "wides"
if that was not planned Santner would not be in a catching position. Thats not a run saving position Kane has him in. I think if you asked any leg cutter they would say it was well executed plan.
Both spinners getting smashed now, I think time for a change in bowling.
107m SIX?
IMO Bairstow is the best ODI opener in the world. Unlike Roy he paces the SR and doesnt play as many risky shots. Kohli or De Veliers probably the best batsmen all round in ODI.
Bairstow is just so consistent at doing this though.
Just had a quick look, Eng have 3 all rounders in the top 10 in the world, thats so unfair haha.
And Guptil number 5 T20 cant get an IPL gig even after smashing the quality spinners from Eng and Aus, I guess its an auction and sometimes things dont sell.

Bias is over ruling facts.

Im not Bias, but every cricketer knows "BOWL TO YOUR FIELD". you are again thinking i have a bias for anybody, I have a bias for having NZ perform well. Where do you think Sodhi would bowl to, to get a catch if you think im bias, give us your talented cricketing expertise, where is the hardest place not to get caught when playing a shot in the air (ie where is the hardest place to roll your wrists)? sigh.
He bowled the ball at an angle to look like it was going down leg side wide, Roy saw this and played the upward shot thinking he would get it finer than it did, Sodhi straightened the ball into his pads, which created the inability to roll his wrists as it was too late.
Ugggh, Santner puts down another simple one. Somethings wrong, thats about the 7th this summer. Yet he took that beauty earlier. It always hands up he drops. He definitely needs some help with it. He giggled after, that has to be nerves. Styris is digging into Santner, eeeek.
I can see Eng putting their foot down in another 5 overs if another wicket doesnt fall. 400 is on. but likely 360ish

400 isnt on at all, 8RR doesn't work in ODI. Aparet from a small handful of one offs
350 is a target to go for
