DravidDavid:Ragnor: On Telecom it doesn't really matter what you have in the username/password in the modem's admin ui, the authentication is done per port at the exchange/cabinet.
Thanks for clearing that up.
Thought since people are reporting stuff like if they don't hammer their connection, they get better all round' speed, maybe switching out authentication username and passwords, things might change a little.

required reboot of the DSL box everytime
download speeds are naff even for PDFs ... like 5kbs

doozy: Local traffic is not shaped, so if you can't get to the DNS it is definitely not anything to do with the traffic management on the plan.
nzpossum: Tell us Doozy. Are we capped at 100KB/ s or is this temporary. This is all people want to know.
