I've now got a package that was scanned last week at midday Wednesday 6/5 and hasn't been scanned since.
Put in a report.... waiting to see how long it takes them to come back to me.
richms:
What amazes me is that couriers were basically handed this opertunity on a platter to expand their services as more people started to order online, and if it was working well they would keep doing it. They blew it. Big time.
The performance is some couriers (OMG please no one ever deal with Castle Parcels unless you hate yourself - the one star Google reviews tell you all you need to know) has always been spotty and COVID-19 certainly hasn't helped. What's astounded me is the utter lack of.... humanness and poor communication by these companies. When a few people at work have rung up NZP chasing their weeks-overdue package, all are reporting that they just hear the drones on the other end repeating that they are swamped due to COVID-19. You'd think after you have badly let down your customer that they would, you know, more actively prioritise those. But they just don't seem to care.

I dropped a parcel to post haste depot in Penrose yesterday morning and delivered this morning in Tauranga. I dont know what to say, 5 days is fine but two weeks? I might just pick up from depot instead.
I ordered a phone from Vodafone NZ and then a rather large item from the US the following day. The US item was being sent through eBay's Global Shipping Program. Judging by my tracking information, I think the American package has a strong chance of making it here first. Incredible.
@xpd you might get more info dropping the tracking number into the NZ post tracker https://www.nzpost.co.nz/tools/tracking
Thanks @runningman , forgot some tracking is valid :) But nope, no info on NZ Post either.... I'll give it another week before throwing my cat at them.

Oh well, worth a go. Sometimes only major updates like final delivery get reported back to the origin company, but more incremental detail is available locally under the same tracking number.

Except NZ post for some reason add their own tracking sticker to parcels and scan that one, and often the 2 are not linked together so you get nothing from the overseas one, and when you finally have the parcel you can track the NZ post tracking number and see how long it took between the airport and pobox.
PB Tech split my order into 2 packages, one arrived today. Of course it was the least important one, lol.
Been waiting awhile for this overnight package now, From Auckland to Auckland........
Logged a fault, have had contact from them but still no real update or change.

Just had another Trade Me parcel, well within the promised time frame. No complaints there. I just wish I knew what happened to the one that has spent a month (so far) swimming from the UK.
Plesse igmore amd axxept applogies in adbance fir anu typos
I received a notification that my AliExpress order was delivered two days ago, but I never received it. The parcel was handled by NZ Post. Is there any hope 😭?
