had my parcel lost just now too delivered on the 24th, they cant find it and it was delivered by fedex signed by MELLIS which was one of their employees in the warehouse since i have had previous parcels signed by that name. should i give the direct line a call too?
Yeah I used that Direct Dial again last week for my latest parcel and they were super unhelpful, the people at the other end made up of customs personnel.
Call the general NZ Post 0800 501 501 and find any option to talk to an actual person. They'll then funnel you through to the YouShop support team, eventually.
Seems to be a general slowdown; had two parcels delivered on Thursday (NZ Time) and still no notification of arrival

Hah! It's like they knew I had moaned on a forum as I got both notifications in the last 30 minutes.
Anyone else having issues with Youshop lately?
Had a package delivered to the US warehouse on the 18th Jan, waited a few days for it to appear in my account but never happened so contacted support, apparently it was sorted to the wrong account, ok.
A week after arrival at the US warehouse it's in my account and paid for, all sweet I thought.
It's now 8 Feb, about 3 weeks after my package arrived at Youshop and it has yet to even get on a plane, just received a response for the delay and they say the US warehouse never received notification of payment so more waiting for them to sort :/
Have used Youshop dosens of times (altough not recently) and never much trouble, but I think I will be considering an alternative next time I get something shipped from the US
My most recent experiences with YS went something like this:
If anything they've been consistent with my orders and if your not in a hurry it probably can't be beat $ wise...
Yup, pretty slow for me too.
Parcel arrive 29 Jan (according to tracking)
Get email on 4 Feb saying its arrived.
I pay immediately and get auto email saying I'll receive shipping confirmation soon
5 days later, still no shipping confirmation email.
And I tried contacting them through support page and no answer.
Pretty crap really. I don't believe they have a huge volume of parcels and if they do they should adapt.
I am dealing with a good one at the moment:
-Package arrived at UK warehouse on 27/01, I paid straight away and it left the UK on 28/01.
-Arrived in NZ 01/02, sorted and cleared customs the same day
Sounds good doesn't it?
-Well its 09/02 and I haven't seen it yet, no tracking events since 01/02. Apparently its never made it to Christchurch. They are getting security to look on the cameras or something (?!) to see if they can find it in AKL and at the moment they can't give me a delivery date (but not likely this week).
Best case scenario could be delivery on 13/02- 4 days to travel the 20 odd thousand KM from the UK and they can't get it together for the last 1200 km of the journey.
I have never had a problem with you shop before but this experience has really annoyed me!
- Its a big parcel (ended up costing over 100 shipping by volumetric weight) so its not like its slipped down inside machinery or anything!
Well mine is only a $20 phone cover from Amazon that the wife "had to have" so not the end of the world but that's not the point. Finally got the shipping notification on 12 Feb (it arrived there 29 Jan). I just think it's very average that it took them 2 weeks to slap a new postage sticker on an envelope...
NZ Post has been going downhill for many years though IMO so not really surprised
Asmodeus, Its far to long. Don't get me started on other issues with NZ post I have had!
Joined recently, here's my experience so far:
Sent 3 packages thinking to repack and consolidate like Viabox
Turns out they only do repack if they find a 2kg discrepancy between weight and dimensional weight
Turns out they only do consolidation on parcels with all dimensions less than 50cm
3 days for a package delivered to them to appear in my account
Paid for delivery 9 Feb, still waiting for dispatch 6 days later!
WTF

My parcel is now 'lost' in New Zealand.
Guess what though? It seems to be policy that I chase the people I brought the goods off for compensation, they then compensate me, and then finally they go and get compensation from NZ post (who lost it). I can't see that the original seller of the goods has anything to do with it- they did their job perfectly. The whole thing is made especially difficult because the original seller is not in an english speaking country!
After several calls it has been decided that I can email the seller, get them to confirm that they will not be making a claim on the parcel and then forward their reply to NZ post.
Has anyone had experience with a lost Youshop parcel and the compensation process (it seems like an odd process already)?
richms:
Seems absurd that the original shipper has anything to do with the process at all. Their job is done when it arrived at youshop.
Am hearing too many negatives with this now. Was a great service when it started up.
^ I can't understand it either- I wouldn't blame the seller for not wanting anything to do with any compensation claims
I had some great service a few years ago, things were prompt but the last couple of parcels have me looking for an alternative.
