TechnoGuy001:

It's not possible, at least not via the official redirect link. It requires you to give the original delivery address.

The last time I used the redirect function I did not need to provide any additional verification beyond the tracking number and maybe a captcha. Wonder if this is a new step they have added.

I still haven't received my goods since the 19th. Really annoyed because no-one had contacted me despite emailing them. I finally found out this afternoon going through their social media, that it was marked as hazardous goods. It was an iPhone.... . But they dispute that that is what the box contains. They are now doing an investigation but but haven't said they are sending it to me. The thing is that their terms actually say that devices with lithium batteries are prohibited, which is crazy as how does Apple get any of their goods transported anywhere. But the reason they haven't delivered it is because they think it is another prohibited item, but didn't actually open the package or xray it to check it. Then when I told them what the box contained they disputed it. Really bad company to deal with. I would suggest people avoid them.

Gurezaemon:

Looks like this tracking number issue has come to widespread attention at last:
https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/new-zealand/2022/04/nz-post-investigating-fraud-scheme-causing-parcels-to-be-redirected-to-wrong-address.html

From TFA:

So far, it knows of 30 people's packages having been intercepted this way. [...] New Zealand Post is encouraging anyone who is expecting a parcel that has not arrived to check their tracking number online. If a redirection notice is on the item, they encourage people to get in touch with them.

I think they're about to find out that a lot more than 30 packages have been intercepted...

I think they have some serious problems with their systems and processes, after problems Ive had dealing with them. 66 pages on just one courier company is not a good sign.

Ordered two fairly similar items late Wednesday evening, one from Manukau, one from Sydney, Australia. The Sydney item was delivered this morning. The Manukau item? Apparently it's got as far as being picked up at some point.

Possibly the Sydney shipment waved to it on the way past.

I literally got something delivered from China via ebay quicker than it has taken my Auckland parcel to get to Wellington and not even an apology from them. Still showing it is being processed in somewhere called Highbrook in Auckland where it has been for over a week. Will never use them again.

That's the AOC, Auckland Operations Centre.

It's where parcels go to die.

If you mean NZ Post and NZ Couriers, no, they're different companies. But if you mean NZ Post and CourierPost, then yes, they are 1 and the same.

If you can track the item (be it courier or otherwise) here then it's in the NZPost/CourierPost network.

As for picking up form East Tamaki, I don't think so, unless you've had a card to call to say you can collect from there. If you give them a call they may be able to move it to a pickup location (but this action usually also adds +1 day before anything happens).

Mine has definitely died there. Will be making a complaint to their CEOs office if I don't get some action on Monday as their service is shocking and no communication. Currently their are 'investigating'.

@mattwnz

Usually it's the responsibility of the company that sold you the item, to get it to you, they should be communicating with NZPost to get you your parcel and or get a refund for the parcels content and resending the item to you. (they likely have direct contact with NZ Post who can get actions taken faster then going via normal NZ Post customer support).

This of course assumes it's a purchased item, and not something the average joe has sent you via the post shop on a tracked ticket.

Either way, NZ Post does seem to be dropping the ball lately.

Courierpost is gone now. Its all NZ post. Courier post was between NZ post and DHL which is why it had the DHL colours. That is why the pointless van and bag rebranding happened, that is why the website now redirects to NZ post for the same features.

I have been told by someone who used to drive for them that many drivers left at that time and are working out their periods elsewhere before they will be back driving a van for someone else.

It was a private sender. They too have had trouble communicating with them. However I have found out that that originally they had detected it was being held as dangerous goods because they said it was an aerosol can. I said that it wasn't and it was an iPhone. They continued to dispute this and that it definitely wasn't an iPhone. Today they have said it was being held because it was an iPhone and the battery in the iPhone was considered dangerous. This is a lie because didn't know it was an iPhone until I told them them and iPhones are couriered all the time. They now say it has been sent to me today so obviously they can courier it without any problems. No apology or anything from them for delaying delivery by nearly 2 weeks and this would have been longer if I hadn't chased them up. So definitely everyone should avoid using them as they seem to be run by muppets
