I have received a sizeable discount code which is valid for up to 5 people to use once each by the end of april.  I have used it and since you guys helped me decide to use youshop I thought I'd share it on here for someone to snap up. Make sure you use it for a decent order as it will be worth it. If you do use it, let us know what you bought and what you saved.

PM me for the code

I had a parcel delivered to youshop on Monday (tuesday nz) according to fedex. No sign of it according to Youshop. This is the second time this has happened to me. Why don't they have a place for me to input my tracking number? That would simplify parcel recognition surely? I guess I'll have to go through the pain of ringing then again. Postage will be $83.75, books are heavy.

Okay here is my experiences with YOUSHOP. Most of the time it is pretty reliable. But sometimes their measurements are off and costing me more to sent it. I measured the package and it was a little off from their measurements.

I sent 2 packages using the same transaction but onehas arrived and one still only ssaying shipped.
This was done a week before Easter and now I have to wait until Thursday to log a ticket about this missing package

Both items were shipped as below:

1. At warehouse 04:00am on 11/04/14
2. Paid 08:42 on 11/04/14
3. Shipped 10:08am on 12/04/14

One item arrived on Thursday (a day before good friday) and another item is unknown.
Today: 22 April 2014

Rung them up and they have no idea where the package is and was told to wait until Thursday to log a complaint.

I shipped 2 more items again on the 18/04/14 and both have arrived at the Auckland mail centre today.

So it is 3 packages out of 4 have arrived but one is gone like MH370.

Finally, my missing package found its way back to NZ today. Will be getting it tomorrow. Excited ;-)

Atleast now I have some faith in NZPost service a bit more. Will be using this service again for my US and UK purchases.
So far it is my 13th times using YOUSHOP.

I have my first experience of getting a parcel repacked
They took the items, removed all of the poly/bubble chips and dumped my items into another box with no extra packaging/support

I saved myself $30, and nothing arrived with any damage so pretty happy

Using Youshop at the moment to get a package from the US. Paid customs and they released it on the 24th (day before ANZAC day). NZPost has it as "destination sort" and the status hasn't changed since the 24th. Who would have thought it would take a week to get from one side of Auckland to the other. It didn't even take a week to get from the US.

That is weird, If NZ post have it, it usually goes out for delivery pretty quickly.

It isn't over the Customs threshold is it? They could have it.

NZ Post to expand YouShop to China:

New Zealand Post plans to roll out YouShop in China after attracting 82,000 kiwis to the parcel forwarding service from the UK and US that was set up to cash in on the surge in online shopping.

The state-owned postal service, which is grappling with a slump in traditional mail volumes, says 4,000 users a month are signing up to YouShop, using delivery addresses in the UK and US to buy goods from companies that won't ship overseas.

Another article here.

Postage from China is usually super cheap and rarely restricts things to China only deliver. Youshop is generally fairly expensive. I hope they price things reasonably, though since just about everyone in China ships to anywhere I doubt I'd ever use it.
