Err - you could use the same logic to insist on the existence of the Tooth Fairy. Very difficult to prove that there isn't one, just rather unlikely - despite personal experience of money appearing under my pillow.

But if you must know why I think The Bible is rubbish, here we go.

The fact that the Bible has multiple authors over many, many years is a dead giveaway. How many times has it been re-written, translated and altered? How many versions are there? Yeah, you get my drift.

The story of Jesus is clearly a rehashing of other myths and stories (Krishna, Buddha, Mithra, Horus, Osisris, Dionysus, Hercules, Asklepios, to name a few.)

The Book of Genesis's flood story is ridiculously similar to the Epic of Gilgamesh, from hundres of years earlier.

Failed prophecies.

I don't have the time or the resources at my immediate disposal, but the Bible is rife with continuity errors that don't match up at all. Some of the people claimed to be involved in events in the bible weren't even alive at the alleged time.

False claims of nature. If the bible was actually true, then The Moon is a source of light, rain comes from the opening of windows in the sky, the Earth would be motionless and flat, and that the sky is blue because there's a vast sea up there.

I'm not going to even bother with the contradictions, but if you have some spare time, have a look at this. Clearly, people are making this up.

That's off the top of my head, there's much, much more, but I have work to do.

I still have ZERO reason to believe any of it is true in any useful or meaningful sense. There's tidbits of history in there but they're not proof of Jesus' divinity... or existence.

Fact is, even the most basic tools of Logic can disprove conspiracy theories. Nice twist, but incorrect. When an extraordinary claim is made it is up to the claimant to provide proof to back it up. Your line of reasoning takes the form:

You: People have psychic powers
Me: Really? Where is your proof?
You: Nobody has proved that people don't have pyschic powers, so therefore they do

What I am actually asking in this example is where is your scientifically verified evidence which has been tested through rigourous experimentation.

Actually should really censor you, for posting a giant image, almost 410 KBytes. Can't you spend a bit of the time to cut it down to what's actually important there?
