. been on hold 20 mins. they must be super busy. i tried signing up online but its tricky with my address.. - using my cell phone - :P glad its not costing me!! 30 mins wait. they must be so busy

That is not a good look but we have been getting calls from businesses who have no email or internet so I suspect they are flat out with residential customers calling in.

As stated, I used the largest Naked DSL plan advertised on the ISP's site, which for Slingshot is 30GB for $80.

That said, you're obviously quite a NZ Net fanboi so not much point trying to point out why an ISP with their own nationwide network of equipment is better than one which just resells whoever is still willing to deal with them.

On a somewhat unrelated note, I don't really understand people coming here to complain that their internet isn't working, getting all defensive if anyone says anything bad about their ISP, or dares to accuse them of being less than average priced, and then getting snarky to the regulars and forum owner.

Broadband 10, 50, 100, 150, 250 and UNLIMITED cost an additional $10 per month to plan prices (above) if you don't have a landline with us OR an additional $5 per month to plan prices (above) if you don't have tolls with us.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the meaning of Naked? I was under the impression it meant broadband without having a phone line with the company you are buying internet from.

i have naked broadband with nznet... it hasnt been working all week :(

Naked means having no POTS at all, just a data connection that you can run VOIP over if you so wish.

The plans and prices you quoted all assume you have a landline either with Slingshot or somebody else, the price difference is a lever to try and get you to take your landline to Slingshot as well and "save $10" so that they can make ~$15 more by selling you the landline..

To the people frowning upon capitals and to NZSPARKY! Why would you not be trying to express your frustration with capitals and who needs NETIQUETTE when discussing what an appaling job NZNET are currently doing! If capitals express anger then capitals it is! I joined six weeks ago and have never experienced so many problems before. Granted the lady who looked after me was doing her best but that was the only thing this company had going for it. So after being connected finally, and almost pulling the pin several times, I now am back to square one. To be frank I do not care anymore what the problem is! I don't even want it fixed! I just want OUT. Would I recommend to friends - HELL NO and it wasn't even a bargain compared to Orcon's current deal.

The website says that everything its nearly back to normal.. except my house still doesnt have net.. Grr. I guess anything outside of Albany isnt top priority atm.

Think i might head back to telecom tomorrow if it isnt solved today. Such a bummer too, the day before the net went i just paid for this month :'(

Yes i have tried it on both. Have reset and powered off the router. Tried both DSN number given on the site and nothing has worked.

Sounds like you had many issues like me, i wasn't really using capitals to shout was just stuck on caps lock at that time, didn't bother taking it off, anna would have been the lady helping you i actually went in there a couple of times, to spew LOL, yes she was good trying to put on a good face on for nznet. i have sent everyone I know there a email but no replies yet my modem is switched off incase they try to access it as i am quitting there service.

Yes i have tried it on both. Have reset and powered off the router. Tried both DSN number given on the site and nothing has worked.

I just called one of the emergency numbers and it is working perfectly now. Not sure what i did wrong as I had previously done all the steps he give. Oh well.... no more complaining from me (well not for a little while anyway)
