Yes I have heard the same rumour about Wi-Fi calling and good timing I just moved to 2Degrees mobile last week for the 12 months carryover of data / minutes and in the process of helping move over all family members, The main mobile Telco all family is on currently does not offer Carryover on Postpay
That is total 7 mobile connections and 5 home lines and broadband, Only one home line connection under contract so parents will have to wait

This will be fantastic if it allows calls to be placed and received on multiple devices around the house.
Using SIP phone client or what??

Could you also read it as an admission from 2D that its network coverage isn't too flash? :) ,

Could be read as an admission that times are changing and new technologies make customers happy :P
WiFi calling would definitely be a lot easier than some SureSingle or CellFi solution.

Nope Google search Wi-Fi calling and you will see how it works
It uses the normal phone client on the handset

Thanx. Looks like it could be handset specific. Just looked at my Motorola G4 and no Wifi calling menu.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but is this the Wi-Fi Calling that Apple mentions here: https://support.apple.com/en-nz/HT203032 ?

Yep same one. From what I can tell it's enabled during an iOS update or a Carrier Bundle which Apple will push out.
So if your carrier doesnt support it you wont see the menu in Settings.
