That's a contradiction in terms isn't it? Wink

I'm still reserving judgement until I see the blue for real.

Wink Yep, quite funny aye. But don't let that fool ya, I wear the pants in this family!

For some reason that one is a dual core rather than a quad core?

jeffnz: wow what a lot to read through for one day, can't help thinking that some are being a bit OTT given its not even released yet but its entertaining none the less.

As another said its very much like when the 4S was being released but funnier given that after another month hype will be over, bet the Samsung marketing people are backslapping themselves over the reactions.

I'll get one but will wait as a month or 2 won't make much difference and I do like the S@, besides take a wee while before some stable custom roms hit the forums.

That's right, different strokes for different folks.

Funny thing is, I don't normally line up for things, ever....so when ME3 came out and was being launched up the road 1km away, I went with a mate and we lined up with all the teenagers and had a ball. Ate two big Mac's some chip and had a sundae.

Having fun with launches of products is exactly that, fun.

The boring stuff can come later.

ya I am with you on that. personally the whole charm of buying the thing when it launches sounds very exciting to me. Yes there are people who want to give a device a month or two before they buy it but for me that means waiting even more for something I have already waited for.

For some reason the Quad cores and LTE don't work together, so they use a dual core instead.

Exactly what I was thinking - except the hype died out a couple days after its launch. Saying that I'm going to get my hands on one first. I don't see myself selling the One X once I'm done with the TelecomTech stuff however

Sent my One X vs GS3 comparison preview/article thing off ages ago, still isn't up... A lot of changes I'd make to it if I wrote it today tbh

good for you Blair know you like the HOX, had a play around with one in weekend but really need to use one daily to really know. Not sure the look of it was any better than the S3 looks but again hard to say and I suppose you get used to what you have. (the S3 looks a bit like the S1 but maybe thats my old eyes)

I really do like my S2 so selling to buy S3 won't be to just have latest so will be keen to see peoples initial response so hopefully it won't have any glitches.

Most fun I had at a launch party was for the PS3 at Harveys in Porirua. Midnight, they had cake, biscuits, drinks, heaps of food and they had a couple of PS3 setup on some 70" SXRD TVs. Was great fun.

Chainfire has seen S3 firmwares, says Rooting will be 'trivial'. Unlocked bootloaders FTW.

One of the reasons I went from HTC to Samsung. Good news.

Bond and bond have them up now $1049. Two separate listings for telecom and vodafone but neither come with a sim so I guess are essentially the same thing

Well it's clear what the price will be now. The question now is.. How much on a $100 contract for 2 years? I think hoping for $0 but I doubt it. I am guessing somewhere between $199-349.
