TiVX 6500A experiences anyone? I've not found too much info around. I know that EPG isn't fully implemented yet and that you can't record two shows at once (right?) but for the price it seems like a lot of machine.

Hi Groschie, guess I should have mentioned I'd already read everything I could find on here. Was looking for any further opinions or any new news about updates since that was posted in October.

Ah ok. There's probably some more info here, if you haven't already seen these:

If you are looking for single tuner receiver the Vantage HD6000T/NZ is still among the best single tuner receivers with USB PVR around.

I also have a Homecast HT9200DTR and has been working well for me. It's simple to use and also I have managed to transfer my recordings to my PC. A bit of effort to do but I am happy that I have something that is reliable and I keep my recordings to watch later if my disk gets full.

Kilaru: are you able to schedule recordings from the EPG and season links for recording with the Vantage?

Grolschie: sorry about my typo of your name and yes I've seen those sites as well. just hoping to get more reports of hands-on experience on the user interface and wondering if anyone has inside info on when live pause and full epg might be included in the TViX...

There is timer record on the Vantage which can repeatedly record an event. There is no full EPG on the Vantage. The second option Homecast HT9200DTR will schedule recordings from the EPG.

The PC World review is crap - it contains very little useful information on what differentiates these machines from one another.  Ditto these other so-called reviews:  "Even my wife/grandparent/XXY brother-in-law can use it" tells me nothing about the functionality of the device.
