I almost never use "Abc" word entry - I like T9-Word, but on the TX-115c, EVERY SINGLE TIME I begin a text message, I have to open the "word type" dialogue and select T9. Even though T9 is selected ALL THE TIME. If I don't re-select it, it uses "Abc" even though T9 is selected.

Is this standard for the TX-115c - or do I have a faulty unit?

If it's standard, then it's a giant failure in the software, and I may well return it.

From the main menu:
Messages / Settings / Entry Mode

And set it to T9. It should then default to T9 entry every time you compose a new message.
