Don't know if any of you guy have ever been stupid enough to run from the car to house in the pouring rain and dropped your phone in a puddle.......i did and its not fun..
I let the phone dry out for 3 weeks then stripped it down, cleaned it with iso, went over it with a magnifying glass chipping corrosive looking chalky residue off but still no good the charge light doesn't even show its dead!

I'd be really appreciative if anyone has any good ideas for me ..

unfortunately i have no insurance at all =(
expensive mistake..

have tried a new battery. I tested the original with on a multimeter was just under 4v i checked numerous points on the motherboard and its getting power but yet the little orange light that shows up when the charger is connected isn't showing... I hope its not a hardware failure, I haven't been able to source a replacement mother board

Is this a lost cause maybe? its a shame it doesn't have one scratch its still like brand new!

I would have filled it full of this stuff immediately after - http://dicksmith.co.nz/product/N1072/crc-co-contact-cleaner-350g

Last thing I used it on was an admittedly cheap LED torch. It eliminated an awful lot of contact resistance (several points of contact within the torch) and I'm pretty sure I'll get longer battery life.

I reckon you would use 1/5th of a can but it would be well worth a go. Just disassemble and drown it in the stuff so it runs off everywhere. That is what it is supposed to do.

i gave it a good drowning with pure alcohol, but i'll give it another go

if not i think some hardware has failed and most probably am going to have to replace the motherboard, finding one is the issue now =( i have found every available part BUT the motherboard lol
