Hi guys,

Have a Pioneer SC-LX57 Amp/receiver set up thats having some issues.
Typically I play music through Itunes/Airplay over my Wifi Connection (Orcon with a orcon home genuis router)
This worked fine for the first 6 months of use and would always connect faultlesly and play fine.

For the last couple of months every morning when i go to connect i have to switch the amp off and the router and start both them back up and it will connect straight away.
After this it may play for a while with no problems but at some point sometimes not too long it will cut out.
When it cuts out i can restart it by switching in itunes between the airplay/laptop speakers and then back and it will work for a short time before cutting out.

I have tried to upload the latest software to the amp but cant get to pick it up on the network through AVNavigator to upload(thats if you cna even do it wirelessly??)

The strange thing is it worked fine for the first few months and just randomly started playing up.
Anyone got any ideas of what it could be? Or some tests to run.

Thanks

I'd check the firmware to begin with.

http://www.pioneernz.co.nz/nz/products/42/98/SC-LX57-K/media.html

If that's okay, try switching to another router. I had a similar issue with a Telecom supplied router and my Panasonic TV.
Typically, the main networking / AV issues I've heard about have been solved by dropping the IP supplied router.

Still not working properly with the latest firmware. Any other ideas?

Where did you buy it from? It's a current model, is it not?
Take it into the retailer and get them to test, and if they replicate the issue, send it for service.
I should ask though, have you swapped out your ethernet cable? They can get damaged from time to time...

Yup its a current model.

Just seems weird that it works most of the time theres no set pattern bar the initial connection.
