Hi All, this isn't strictly a Sky issue but an output one. Feel free to redirect to the sky forums if it ends up needing to be there.
I have a 47 inch LG TV and the HDMI ports have just gone kaput (a common issue with LG LCD I read) so I've had to find out another way to get a signal from SKy to the TV.
I have a yicky yellow Red and White RCA cable and a component cable (red green blue).
Everything works fine with the RCA cable, but it looks a little furry. When I plug the component in and select component to be active in the skybox it works then doesn't. Audio is coming through the red white cables.
It was working properly and then I went to show the wife the difference between RCA and Component the component crapped out and now it won't come back. I can switch back to yellow plug and reconfigure the sky box to use component to try again. It looks fine - it's set to active (option 1).
Is there anything weird i need to do to get component working? Do I need to unplug any other cables in case there's a clash. I'm not super clued up with the ins and outs of cables etc.
Apologies if I've not explained myself clearly :)
Thanks
