I know this post could be posted in a heap of other forums, telecom, dev etc. but the machine i'm querying about is a mobile device.
What i'm looking at doing is connecting a Netbook platform CE5.0 up to the internet on the 3g network. After hours of trolling the net i can't find a 3g USB stick that supports the CE platform
. What i was thinking of doing is using my cell phone (nokia) as a modem via a usb cable and i still don't know id i can do this or not. On the plus side i have a clients PDA (real flash one and pricey puppy to boot) i have been playing with. This has a SIM card slot and is on CE5 to. I can get this device to work like a charm so i can't really see why i can't get my net book to do the same.
If some one could point me in the right direction about hooking up a cell phone as a modem would be a real help. The main infomation i'm looking for is the dialing number for the connection on the Netbook i have tried #99* to open the port to the cell phone, and what i need to setup on my phone to do it. (Netbook doesn't have bluetooth) Phone is Nokia 3710
