Hi guys now i have been reading the issues that people are having with the DNS of there routers not allowing certain websites to load.
From what i was reading it only really affected people running windows 8.1.

I am running windows 7 Ultimate.
Router: Technicolor TG589vn v2

I have noted that running a proxy allows the website to load without any issues what so ever. yet when there is no proxy it takes 1-2 minutes to load or just fails loading completely.

Could this be an issue with the DNS on the router? if so any advice please so i can fix the issue :)

Log it with Telecom since it varies to the Windows 8.1 issue.

In the meantime also try a new DNS setting on the PC itself

Friends don't let friends use Thomson/Technicolor routers, I'd pick up something else tbh.

Yeah i changed my pc DNS to a google one and everything runs like a charm. Although my network diag policy was broken so had to fix it too.
Also do you think a fritz box would be any good? as i might be upgrading the internet to fiber at the flat where i live for going to school. Also the plan would be form snap.

Sigh the dns worked for a little but just seems to keep messing up. Looks like i will be buying a fritz box to use as the router i have is skipping hopes on the first ping for some reason

I am looking at signing up with telecom VDSL.
I run windows 8.1 on my main pc I take it the DNS issue is still unresolved what is the work around?

I am using the Technicolour VDSL modem with W8.1, no problems here that I have ever noticed.

I have the script and telnet stuff installed. How exactly do i use it as well as i already have a password set on the router. So will i have to change the script?

exrapidleech.info/ Works perfect with a proxy but default cant use it at all

can you please also log a support call so they realise the impact, and can prioritise rolling out the new firmware to the routers

i get a whole bunch of script in FF but loads fine in IE and i have not troubles pinging it.

Thats with the telecom supplied Thompson VDSL router and the telecom supplied DNS servers

are you sure its a modem issue?

Exact same issue on 8.1, somewhere on GZ there was a thread about using the CLI to disable "Wan down spoofing" under DNS, this resolved the issue for myself.
