Hey There.

I was just wondering if there is a way to access Xtra Dial-up and someone else's house.
I am currently a Telecom Broadband customer, and i remember when i signed up that you can also have free(i think) dial-up access.
Can someone please tell me how to access this at someone else's house.
and whether i have to pay for this? and what is the dial-up number used.

Thanks in advance,
Anthony

P.S. I Really need to know as I need to go onto the internet at my friends house who doesn't have the internet.

Hello,

Yes you can use dial up at your friends place. An easy way of testing is to try dialing 087303030 on your landline and see if it connects.

Xtra broadband customers usually get free 30 days dial up access while they are waiting for their connection to be connected. However outside of that period, there is a charge of $2.50 per hour. If you really need to get on the internet via dial up on a regular basis, you can add a dial up plan (with monthly fee) and switch back after you have finished with it.

The settings are:
087303030
Username: Xtra username (ie. alice, not alice@xtra.co.nz)
Password: your xtra password.
