Hi All

I just wondered if anyone has experienced problems sending SMS to Vodafone network in Australia?  I have a Crazy Johns phone (which uses the vodafone network) and my husband has a Vodafone phone and neither of us can receive text messages from telecom in NZ. We were receiving them and they were coming through all garbled (i.e. random letters such as GHSDYENV DHBSJV JLVJKJ etc etc).  Now we receive nothing at all.  Have tried different phones here and messages are coming from a variety of phones in NZ (old and new) bit it doesnt make any difference.

I have contacted both networks (Telecom and Vodafone) and both say its not their problem and they have never had any other problems.  It just doesnt make sense to me that no-one else would have had this problem.  I was just wondering if anyone has experienced or heard of this issue??

Many thanks in advance

Tina

Perhaps message length might be a factor? I text friends in Oz with no problem.. i have had issues in the past with getting blank texts from voda users in Oz.. wasnt consistent though.. so my side and the oz side keep the texts very short.

Hmm, interesting.  Length doesnt seem to effect it though, even one word messages like"test" dont come through.  I had no problems previously when I was with three but I'm just at a lose really.

THanks for your thoughts though

Cheers
