Hi Forumites

I am moving within the same area and had signed on a 12 month phone + 40 GB BB plan. I have completed 11 months and wanted to move keeping the account with Telecom. They have said I have to pay a 53$ connection fee. I paid it already for the current place when I started last January now I have to pay it again? Does anyone have any advice?

From the email the new place is intact to address and no visit required.

Thanks in advance.

To get a phone connected you always have to pay a Telecom connection fee. Even if no work is required at the house somebody has to pysically connect the copper pair to that house at a cabinet or exchange.
