my house has an extension line. i.e 2 phones - same phone number - whatever that is.

i have a thompson router at one end of house with a phone on it.

and a phone at the other end of the house

i also have an extra thompson router

if i plug that in at the other end of the house, will internet come out of it? or not?

Hi, no you cannot do what you propose, DSL is a point to point connection only one device at each end of the line, DSLAM at exchange end and one modem at your end.

If you want to extend your existing DSL connection to the other end then run a cat5e cable from the main DSL router to your 2nd DSL router and set the 2nd router up as a layer2 bridging AP, if you need more explaination of this then ask.
