follow on from can a person spoof a phone number. The same person has managed to obtain a list of my last months call list from my old prepay phone. I assume this was given to them by the phone company without my permission. They have proceeded to ring persons on this list and leave messages again spoofing the number to make it appear it is from someone else. I am assuming this is illegal and I can proceed with some sort of legal action against both the phone company. I suspect that the person who supplied this list is a friend or he would have not done it. I also assume that he has attempted to cover his tracks hiding what he has done. Anyone had this before?

By old prepaid phone do you mean that he has your old phone? Or SIM card?
Because both can record the numbers of outbound calls...

i still have my old sim card and phone. they have received the list from a source that is in a position to supply a call list of phone calls and txt messages made for about 1 month before i changed the number. i am assuming that the phone company i had the phone with is the only one able to supply such details from their computer systems. And by the way I am talking to both of the major phone companies.

Really, for your own sake, you need to stop talking about this in a public forum, and pursue it via the telco(s), the police, and a lawyer...
