Howdy,

It seems that Xnet have pushed out an update to our home router which is a Linksys WAG54GP2v2 - I think the upgrade was to firmware version 2.01.05 or thereabouts.

It's been causing us some issues so I have rolled back the firmware to v 2.01.03 and these issues have disappeared.

- Intermittent gateway drops: all of a sudden we can't access the internet, but the router Status page shows the gateway as "Up".

- Unable to assign IPs using the DHCP reserved IP list and hostname or MAC address: reserved hosts just sit there trying to acquire an address forever.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced any instability under similar circumstances.

Cheers.

We have had a LOT of problems with Linksys firmware upgrades, not this specific issue with this specific firmware, but other similar issues.

It's a shame XNET doesn't support netgear (Watch this space!!!)
