Vodafone has the worst customer service that i have ever experienced. I have had a saga of lies, broken promises, conflicting answers, time wasteing, stressful and frustrating time with vodafone for the last two weeks. And after wasting more time to file a complaint, the phone was finally connected. However, their initial attractive offers to sign us on was not as promised/ agreed. They said that nothing was written down, so what was said by two customer servicer people including a manager approval and a text message doesnt apply....sigh.....This was my parents account that i needed to sort out. Thank god I'm with another provider, as i will never sign myself on with vodafone nor will i ever recommend vodafone to anyone.

Does anyone out there have a similiar experience?

And if my parents are on cable, is it easy to go back and connect to other providers as i understand it, no other provider use cable.

Whats tragic is there are people who really care and will do anything to help resolve your issue. For every really good Customer service rep, there are sadly 3 or 4 who don't care at all. I was in a corporate team for years and our job was to fix EVERYTHING that came our way, and more.

It gave me the skill set to take on ownership and see things through however it's made my own standards very high. I can't stand bad service and will embarress the hell out of anyone as I will voice my dissatisfaction.

It's just so sad to see so many people don't care anymore and outweigh those who do.

Vodafone doesn't have the best customer service reputation, but it sounds like you were unlucky. Cable is Vodafone only. I record all calls made on my cellphone, mostly for reference, but it could come in handy in situations like this.

It's easy to go back to any provider, it'll just go back to being xDSL over your phone line, not cable.

Yes they are shocking. Some people think they are fine until something breaks or needs changing, then they find out.

Your parents will likely need a visit from Chorus to move their phone jacks from HFC back to the Chorus network.

So they refuse to check their own call logs or take a txt as being written? That's pretty harsh.

Yet another lesson not to believe people :(.

I requested an upgrade to My Sky+ and was told that the $50 fee would be waived.

Guess what charge was on my next bill?

How do you record calls on your mobile? Iphones for example have no way to do this, except going through a third party system. Guessing you are using an android app

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

My redmi phone has a button when I am on a call. No app needed at all. very handy to have. All my home phone calls are done over 2talk which emails me a recording after I get off the call. I had to put an app on my note 4 to record them and it sometimes freaks out when changing between the bluetooth in the car and using it as a phone etc, but largly does it fine.

Just iphones are really left out from being able to do it.
