I just switched to open VFX so I can test some borrowed equipment and see if my Linksys AG310 router really is dying and tide me over while Linksys decides what to do about it.
Now have a borrowed Linksys SPA2102 SIP adapter running behind an ex-Telecom D-Link DSL-302G DSL router.
The SPA2102 is in bridge mode for now ( I'm not using its router so I can swap it out easily when its owner wants it back).
Between the information on this forum (thanks http://www.geekzone.co.nz/sbiddle), google, the device's syslog, and the asterisk config information provided by WxC when I switched accounts, I got it mostly working for my single voice line. Calling in was fine right away but I couldn't call out the first few days. Solved that today by setting SIP Remote-Party ID to NO
Problem now is I can't receive any calls and I don't remember changing anything else important.
According to the VFX portal my SIP registration is my phone number @10.64.1.50:5060. Is this private IP address part of the problem? I was expecting something @pan.wxnz.net I have no idea where this private IP comes from but I suppose there is no need for it to be public if WxC are taking care of connecting it to the PSTN?
I have guessed so much of the SPA2102 configuration that I'd really like to know I got it right before looking again at the router or bugging the VFX helpdesk to check their end is still ok. The SPA2102 config appears way more detailed than asterisk...
Is anyone out the in a position to supply this information or some generic information beyond what's required for asterisk?
I appreciate that WxC would rather provision all the supported Linksys hardware themselves so wouldn't go posting information from them here if requested not to.
Now that I know how the Linksys provisioning works, and ended up borrowing a supported device to test, I suppose they could have provisioned any number of Linksys devices for me to use. Isn't hindsight great?
